Providence and the nature of the Holy Spirit

Where do we see God’s providence at work in Creation and the Fall?

What comfort are we to take from the fact that the Holy Spirit is God?

In this episode, David and Phil introduce the theme of God’s providence seen throughout the Old Testament by discussing where they see God’s providence at work in Creation and the Fall.  Then, in the devotional, they discuss the nature of the Holy Spirit and the implications for the Christian faith.

This discussion on God’s providence stems from the current sermon series on the book of Esther.  Despite not being mentioned in the book, God is at work throughout this story.  Therefore, the goal of looking at the Old Testament as a whole is to show where the story of Esther fits within the larger theme of God’s providence in redemptive history.
