Groups at Park City

Groups are at the very heart of our church. Doing life with other believers is essential to productive Christianity. At Park City Church, we have a wide variety of groups that meet in various homes and spaces in the stateline area. While each group has its own distinct culture, here are three core values that you will find in each:

Care

Groups are a place to know and be known. At Park City, leaders are spiritual care providers. They want to ensure that you are well-cared for. They’re taking time to get to know you and your specific needs. Then they’re providing the resources and encouragement you’ll need to help you on your journey.

Discipleship

Groups are also a place for people to become more like Christ. In the context of these relationships with the leaders and other believers, people learn to live out the way of Christ. We are passionate about life-on-life missional discipleship. That leads to the third aspect of our groups:

Mission

Finally, Groups are a catalyst for missional living. Group members pray for each other, encourage each other, and hold each other accountable to live on mission for Christ.

SIMPLE GROUPS PROCESs

Step 1. The Alpha Course. Trying alpha is a great first step into community. It’s a safe environment to process spiritual truth with others. Alpha covers the basics of the Christian faith and is designed for people who are just starting out (but revisiting these truths are valuable to anyone).

Step 2. The Rooted Experience. Rooted is a 10-week journey designed to help people grow spiritually. With a group of others, you’ll learn and practice several key spiritual rhythms.

Step 3. Sermon-Based Small Groups. Our ongoing group model seeks to apply the weekly message from our gathering. This allows us to maximize the weekly ministry of the Word. The sermons are parked on the resources page of our website. There you’ll find application prompts and discussion questions.
